Joanna premieres a new work for voice and clarsach by Melissa Douglas based on Shakespeare’s Sonnet 116 this evening at Neon Sonnets at the John Ryland’s Library in Manchester. The event is part of Manchester After Hours and entry is free. Performances begin at 6pm, 7pm and 8pm.
This evening Joanna performs the first alto solo in James Macmillan’s Seven Last Words from the Cross with the BBC Philharmonic and Huddersfield Choral Society, conducted by David Angus at Harrogate’s Royal Hall.
Joanna performs a lunchtime recital at St. Martin-in-the-Fields today with soprano Fiona Finsbury-Robinson, baritone David Cane and pianists Hayley Parkes and Alexander Panfilov. The programme includes Rebecca Clarke’s The Seal Man, songs by Clara Schumann and duets by Brahms. The concert begins at 1pm and entry is free.
