2025/26 season
Joanna begins this season with the launch of her debut album Letters from Scandinavia with pianist Sholto Kynoch on CRD Records as part of their 50th year (“Vivid storytelling…brilliantly executed” – BBC Radio 3 Record Review / “This is an unusual and enchanting thing” – Gramophone).
Opera roles this season include Suzy/Lolette/Rorò in Puccini’s La Rondine with Opera Rara and the BBC Symphony Orchestra at the Barbican, Hänsel in Humperdinck’s Hänsel & Gretel at Longborough Festival Opera, Varvara in Janáček’s Katya Kabanova with New Palace Opera, and Alice Bragg in Rosalind, a new opera about the discovery of DNA, with the London Mozart Players & Helix Music.
She opens the Oxford International Song Festival in recital with Sholto Kynoch, continues as a City Music Foundation artist and brings SongPath to Brighton Early Music Festival and Durham Botanic Gardens as part of Durham University MUSICON series. She also records a new sound installation for the historic North Wing of St Bart’s Hospital with Ensemble Augelletti for Barts Heritage.
